Dr. Weisi Lu received her Bachelor and Ph.D degree from Sun Yat-sen University, China in 2010 and 2015, respectively. She completed her training through a National joint-Ph.D program in Baylor College of Medicine, US from 2011 to 2014. In 2015, she joined the faculty of the State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology as an Assistant Researcher. Dr. Lu has published scientific research papers in journals including Cancer Cell, Stem Cells, Experimental Cell Research, Cell Stem Cell, and Journal of Biological Chemistry. Her current research interests mainly focus on the functions of growth factors like PDGF-C and VEGF-B in regulating stem/progenitor cells development.
